Happy Thursday my lovelies!! Today I am on the TCW blog with an art journal page I created using some of the new TCW stencils.
Hello Everyone, today is my turn again on the Dusty Attic blog and I am sharing an altered frame I created. I recently taught this frame for the lovely ladies up at Bruce Rock here in Western Australia.
I used a Kaisercraft frame and applied Stamperia sand texture paste for the base. Then covered the frame and all the chipboard with The Crafter’s Workshop Black Gesso TCW9002.
I sprayed some of the chipboard with Prima Color Bloom Sprays – Fir Needles and Magic Stone. Then I rubbed Nuvo Embellishment Mouse in Powder Blue and Seaspray Green over the top.
Once all adhered I then used Art Alchemy waxes in White Gold and Green Brocade to add highlights. Then finished it off with some beads.

Hi there my lovelies!! Today I am sharing a mixed media layout I created for the Aussie YouTube Hops June 2019. So this month we had to use the mood board for our inspiration. I used the colours of the board and the word ” PLAY”.
The video link is below… and guess what? I am speaking in it! Well at the start of the video I am (shock….horror lol). In the description box of the video you will find the list of the other designer’s projects with their links too.
I hope you enjoyed my tutorial and I would love to see some of your interpretations of this mood board.
Hi Everyone and happy Thursday!!! Today I am on The Crafter’s Workshops Blog with this mixed media tag. I know, I am very late on the old Tim Holtz Paper Dolls but I am sooo in love with these and how good do they look with TCW stencils?!
Below is the process video for my tag so please feel free to watch and share with your friends. I have subtitles throughout the video of all the products I have used. Here are some close ups of the end results.
Thanks for dropping by and I will be back very with another project
Hello and happy Friday to you all!!! Recently I met with the lovely team from Fineline Applicator Aus and I fell in love with their applicators. So today I am sharing an art journal page.
I had so much fun creating this page. I started with TCW801 Skylight 12×12 stencil, I used a pencil to trace and then went over with a white gel pen. I then put some TCW9016 Spun Sugar Heavy Body Acrylic Paint into the Fine Tip Applicator with a little bit of water just enough so that it’s not so thick. Let the doodling begin!!!
I also used the the Black Gesso applicator to go around the title of the page. The stencil I used for this was TCW795 Rustic Signs
Here is a quick video showing how easy it is to these applicators
I have linked the applicators used to the Fineline Applicators website. Thanks for dropping by and I shall be back with more projects soon.
Hi there Everyone, today I am up on the Dusty Attic blog with my take on this month’s mood board challenge. Man how are amazing is this mood board? I love those earthy tones!
So for my inspiration I used the colours of the mood board. I also used the picture as well…. when I see this photo I think of how gorgeous the sunset is and what would be magical during a sunset? A hot air balloon ride!!! So here is what I created with all that in mind.

Hi there everyone!!! Today I am sharing my take on the Lindy’s Stamp Gang June 2019 Challenge. This is my first time doing their challenge and I loved every minute creating my mini disc. I just adore this colour combo! If you would like to join in this month, click here to go to their blog.
For my background, I applied some TCW9001 white gesso to a chipboard disc along with some stamping, I used a Tim Holtz stamp and stencil set with black Versafine. I then added some crackle medium through TCW790 Micro Bricks stencil.
I then started building my background colour. I started off with Lindy’s Stamp Gang Starburst Squirts – Emerald Eh? Once it was dry I then applied Starburst Squirts – Loonie Toonie Teal.
I added Art Alchemy Wax – Firebird onto the stenciled area but thought it needed a little bit more orange so I mixed white gesso, water and Lindy’s Stamp Gang Magical Shaker – Oktoberfest Orange and splattered onto the disc.
I also used Tim Holtz paper dolls, small talk sticker sheets and vintage design tape.
Thanks for dropping by and make sure you click on the process video below… I apologise for the 2 light discs on my table xx
