Hi Everyone, today is my last share for Art Anthology, I can’t believe that it has been 6 months already. I feel very blessed to have been apart of such an amazing design team. With that all said, here is my project, a mixed media card…. I do have a process video which at the bottom of the blog xx

Work of art card by Farrel Tailor

I started by stamping my background using Watering Can Archival Ink and Uniquely Creative’s Numeric Stamp. I then added some stenciling some pearl modeling paste with Art Anthology’s stencil – Art Deco

I stamped some butterflies onto some white cardstock and used Colorations Sprays – Juicy, Plush and Patience to add some colour to them.

For the background of the card, I used a super wet paint brush and used same Colorations Sprays as above I applied the sprays like water colour paints.

I mounted the background onto some black cardstock and adhere my butterflies. I used Tim Holtz Small Talk stickers and splattered using black and white gesso.

Spread Your Wings Album for 3Quarter Designs

Hello there my lovely friends, today I am sharing my project for 3Quarter Designs using their new collection Luminous Aura.

Cover_Sheets_luminous_Aura_600x

For my project I decided to create an album for a friend of mine who can use it for her travels in the future. This range is absolute stunning and I managed to use every single piece in the pack for this album……fist pump moment right there!!!

Spread Your Wings Album by Farrel Tailor

The album itself I purchased from Kmart here in Australia and it was a kraft based album. I added some stenciling on the cover and painted with black gesso. The chipboard frame is apart of a 3 pack from Kaisercraft which I inked and added crackle accents to. The title I used one of Tim Holtz Quote Chips.

Spread Your Wings for 3Quarter Designs

The flowers are by Green Tara and Prima and everything else is from the 3Quarter Design collection pack.

I have a very quick flick through video of the inside of the album so if you would like to see it please click here.

Enjoy and I will be back soon

Dreamer of Dreams Frame – Art Anthology

Happy New Year Everyone!!!! Today I am sharing an altered frame using lots of Art Anthology mixed media goodies!!!

Dreamer of Dreams Frame by Farrel Tailor

I stared by painting my Dusty Attic chipboard frame with white gesso, then used Minx Shimmering Ink – Panche on the base and Sorbet Dimensional Paint – Vegas Gold on the top layer.

Next I tore a piece of paper from an old book and sprayed it with Colorations Sprays – Warm and Sandcastle. I then adhered this piece to the back of the chipboard frame.

I stamped a mixture of butterflies onto some white cardstock (prima stamps) and used Minx Shimmering Ink – Panche and Colorations sprays – Plush, Peacock Feathers and Siesta Keys to colour the butterflies.
