Hi Everyone, so I thought I would give the Lindy’s Stamp Gang April Challenge a go….. I love these colours. If you would like to also join in on the challenge please click here for their blog. I also have a process video at the end of the blog if you would like to see my create my cover.
I used LSG magical shakers Alphine Ice Rose, Polka Purple and Flat Fabio Spray Raspberry Lemonade on my background. For the butterfly wings I used Finnabair’s Don’t Forget To Fly stamp with with Guten Tag Teal & Time Travel Teal. I used a transparency to stamp the wings onto.
I used 2 background stamps – Uniquely Creative Numeric stamp and PaperArtsy EM49 Electica stamp designed by Seth Apter. I also used used TCW554s Mini Butterfly Collage stencil along with TCW9015 Black Licorice acrylic paint through the stencil and in my Fineline Applicator which I used to doodle around the edges.
To finish off the cover, I used Tim Holtz Paper Dolls and also his Quote Chips which I inked around the edges using Vintage Photo Archival Ink.
Here is the video, I hope you like it and it inspires you to join in this month.
Hey there everyone, I hope you are all having a great weekend. Well today I am sharing my very first design team member creation for Art Anthology. I have a process video at the end of the blog so feel free to check it out xx
- To start I covered my pages with white gesso and then use Metal Effects – Dimensional Medium in the Silver with a stencil.
2. Once dry, I then sprayed my with some water and then sprayed Colorations Sprays in Siesta Keys, Peacock Feathers and Indigo in that order. The water helps the colours blend.
3. For my title, I stenciled “Create Art” using black archival ink and then cut the 2 pieces out and mounted onto black cardstock.
4. I wanted to colour the stamped butterflies so I used the same sprays for my background and used an aqua pen (water pen) to create a watercolour effect.
Here is some more pictures of the finished page

Hi there my lovelies!!! Well today is my last day as a design team member for The Crafter’s Workshop. It has been an amazing 2 years and I feel so humbled to have been apart of such an amazing team and to represent a fabulous company.
Today’s project is an art journal page I created using the quote as my inspiration “Start each day with a grateful heart” and of course I chose my 3 favourite of all time stencils to use.
The video below has all the products I used in the subtitles but if you would like to see step by step process pictures just click here which will take you to The Crafter’s Workshop’s Blog.
Thank you to everyone who has commented or liked my projects over the last 2 years. I also would like to say a huge thank you to The Crafter’s Workshop for having me on their team….. it really has been a blast and I am forever grateful.
Hello and happy Friday to you all!!! Recently I met with the lovely team from Fineline Applicator Aus and I fell in love with their applicators. So today I am sharing an art journal page.
I had so much fun creating this page. I started with TCW801 Skylight 12×12 stencil, I used a pencil to trace and then went over with a white gel pen. I then put some TCW9016 Spun Sugar Heavy Body Acrylic Paint into the Fine Tip Applicator with a little bit of water just enough so that it’s not so thick. Let the doodling begin!!!
I also used the the Black Gesso applicator to go around the title of the page. The stencil I used for this was TCW795 Rustic Signs
Here is a quick video showing how easy it is to these applicators
I have linked the applicators used to the Fineline Applicators website. Thanks for dropping by and I shall be back with more projects soon.
Happy Thursday Everyone!! Today I am sharing my newest art journal page for The Crafter’s Workshop. I love how this page turned out, so bright and fun.
Let’s get to the tutorial!! To be begin, I used a page from an old dictionary and tore that page into strips. I used TCW9011 Gel Medium Matte to adhere to my art journal page.
Once the medium is dry, I then used a paint brush to apply some acrylic chalk paint.
The next stencil I used was TCW832 Script Words
I used TCW9001 White Gesso and stamped with a lid to create some circles. Then used my spatula to create a line pattern.
I used archival ink and some different stamps to add more texture to the background.
I then decided to add some more stamped images. I used Distress Crayons to colour the images and to add shading. Here you can see I am using an aqua pen (water pen) to blend the crayon.
Thanks for dropping by and I hope you enjoyed my tutorial xx
Hello there my lovelies!!!! I am so glad to be back in the swing of things after having 2 months away recovering. I have missed creating and sharing my work with you all. So today I am sharing an art journal page I created for The Crafter’s Workshop using one of my favourite stencils from the new winter 2019 release!!! There is also a video at the end of the blog.
To begin with I trimmed some watercolour paper to fit my square Dylusions art journal. Then used Distress Oxide Sprays – Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain and Cracked Pistachio. I used my heat tool to dry in between colours and also sprayed some water to help the spray move around on my paper.
Next I sprayed Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide Spray onto TCW267 Ledger. Then I sprayed some water onto the stencil, flipped it over and flicked the remaining spray all over my paper.
I dried my paper with my heat tool, then using the same stencil and sponge dauber, I applied Distress Oxide Ink Walnut Stain.
Once it dry, I then stamped Coffee Archival Ink and Darkroom Door Stamp Numbers Border. I also stamped another number stamp around the edges of the page using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink.
I used Distress Oxide inks and sprays Cracked Pistachio, Mermaid Lagoon and Vintage Photo to stamp Darkroom Door’s Butterfly stamp. I wrapped some gold and white twine around the page, adhered the butterflies and finished off with some Tim Holtz stickers.
Below is the process video.
Thanks for dropping and I can’t wait to share my next project with you all soon
Hello Hello Hello!!!! Today I am sharing my latest The Crafter’s Workshop DT art journal page. This page is great if you want to create but don’t have a lot of time to do so. So let me show you how it was done.
The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own.
I started by painting TCW9002 Black Gesso as a border around the edges of my small art journal page. I then trimmed down a page from an old book and started to add some colour. I love the effect a rubber brayer gives on paper so I used that with Dylusions Paints in Lemon Zest, Squeezed Orange and Peony Blush.
Next I stamped some hearts and my sentiment onto white cardstock and used a baby wipe to add colour to the hearts. I used the same 3 paint colours for this as I did for the background.
Then to finish it off I used a black and white paint pen to draw a border around the edges.
