Hello there my crafty friends, today I am sharing my latest layout for 3Quarter Designs using there newest collection Natures Walk.
Here is my layout using the following pieces from the collection – Vintage and Treasure Element sheets, Postcards and Forest Leather mat sheets, Tags and Plants patterned paper and the chipboard frame.
For the background I tore in half “plants” pp and adhere it to “Tags” patterned paper. I used Art Anthology’s Art Deco stencil with Stamperia Crackle Paste and used Distress Oxide Ink in Forest Moss to add some colour between the stenciled area. I stamped Kaisercraft’s script background stamp with Coffee Archival Ink.
The chipboard frame I cut in half and heat embossed using Stampendous Aged Bronze Embossing Enamel. The flowers I used are 49 and Market Vintage Shades Ecru Bouquet and Penelope Dee Serenade Blooms which I inked with Coffee Archival Ink
The element sheets I did a little fussy cutting of the leaves, clock and frame (I also cut the middle out of the frame). I also used the tag from “Tags” patterned paper. I used the Postcard mat for my photo cluster and Forest Leather for my photo mount. I added some Art Stones and and Distress Oxide Sprays – Vintage Photo and Forest Moss for some splatters in the background.
Thank you so much for dropping by and I hope you all enjoy the rest of your week
Hi there my creative lovelies!! Today I am sharing my newest project for Art Anthology.
At the end of the blog is my process video – feel free to check it out xx
- To begin with I applied a thin coat of clear gesso to my patterned paper. Why do I do this you may ask? It is to seal the paper so that I can add my mediums to the paper without it buckling. Once dry I then using AA’s stencil Keyhole and Velvet Dimensional Paint – Brownie.
2. After drying the stenciled area with my heat tool, I then applied some clear crackle medium and dried again. I then sprayed the crackled area with water and using a paint brush I applied Siesta Key and Granny Smith Colorations Sprays.
3. I sprayed my flowers with water and then sprayed Colorations Spray – Sandcastle. I used my heat tool to dry the flowers.
4. I painted the flowers with Minx Shimmering Ink – Decadent using a paint brush. I also painted my chipboard title with the same ink.
5. I then adhered all my pieces to the layout along with mini prillz and art stones. And finished the layout off with some stamping.
I used these products on my project:
Stencil – Keyhole
Minx Shimmering Ink – Decadent
Velvet Dimensional Paint – Brownie

Hi there my creative friends, today I am sharing my mood board challenge project for Dusty Attic. For this challenge, I decided to use the blue/grey tones as my inspiration along with the picture of flowers.
I started with covering my whole canvas with white gesso, then mixed Prima Texture Powder with white gesso to create a texture paste. I used the Brick Wall Stencil all around the sides of the reversed canvas. Once the paste was dry I then painted over the top with Paperartsy Fresco Chalk Acrylic Paint in Inky Pool. I then dry brushed Stamperia Home Deco Paint in Warm White over the bricks.
I added another stencil from my stash to the back of the canvas and used the blue texture paste from Prima Old Walls set. For the Ornate Circle Frames Small I painted with white gesso and used White Gold Art Alchemy Wax all over to give an aged effect.
I painted the Mystic Flourish with Stamperia’s Home Deco Chalk Paint in Smoke grey and adhered them so they overlapped behind the dragonfly. I added some blue glitter to the back of my art pebbles and then painted the tops with the smoke grey paint.
I used Dusty Attic’s Crackle Varnish for on the Industrial Dragonfly and painted it with Paperartsy Fresco Chalk Acrylic Paint in Inky Pool. To finish off the canvas I added some art stones, Sisal and adhered the Happiness from Wordpl@y #2 Black.

Hey there Everyone, Today I am on the Dusty Attic blog with a project I created a few months ago for some classes I taught at a retreat in Bruce Rock. I was given a Kaisercraft MDF round plaque to alter and this is what I created.
This project is all about layers and chipboard. I used a few products including tissue paper to create texture to the background and I painted all chipboard with black gesso. I used Art Alchemy Waxes (Old Silver, Blue Velvet & Satin Turquoise) on the chipboard and Frank Garcia Memory Hardware Artisian Powder in Trianon Patina on the MDF board.
I also used Prima Art Stones and I created the half domes with resin and molds.

Hi Everyone, with it being Notebook November this month at Dusty Attic & having so much fun creating my altered notebook last time, I thought I would give it another go.
I used Dream Catcher #2, Key to my Heart (smaller heart and key) and Mini ABC Set Upper for this notebook. I covered those pieces with white gesso. I applied Finnabair Paper Texture Paste to the Dream Catcher. Once I had adhered the dream catcher, I adhered the key and heart chipboard and 3 flowers.
Next I covered the all the chipboard and flowers with Art Alchemy Sparks Acrylic Paint in Raven Black. Then painted the notebook with black gesso and added art stones to the notebook.
I painted the Melange Art Pebbles and ABC set with Art Alchemy Opal Magic Acrylic Paint in Violet/Green. I also applied this paint to the background and a little on the chipboard and flowers. Then to finish off I applied Art Alchemy Opal Magic Acrylic Paint Rose/Gold to highlight.

Happy Monday Everyone! Here in Australia we have been experiencing some amazing summer weather so I thought I would create a layout using one of my favourite photos of the 4 men (big and small) in our family.
I tore a sheet of Corrugated Card and with a dry brush I light added some white gesso.
For the chipboard, I used Creative Layers #1 and Mini Captions #13. I covered the chipboard pieces with white gesso and then sprayed them using Prima Color Blooms sprays – Summer Sky & Soft Teal. I felt it needed another colour so I lightly spritzed using Lindy’s Stamp Gang Steampunk Sepia and fell in love with how it turned out. I also added some Dylusions Black Marble spray for the words “Feet” & “Hair” just to highlight.
For the background I used TCW662s Mini Tile Mania stencil with Clear Modeling Paste by The Crafters Workshop and Finnabair Stone Effect – Pumice. The sprays I used are Prima’s Color Bloom Summer Sky, Soft Teal and Dragonfly Blue. The colours were perfect on top of Blue fern Studios wanderlust – mountain view.
To finish it off I added some stamping using Finnabair Rust & Dust stamp set and both Art Stones and Mini Art Stones as well as some splattering using LSG Steampunk Sepia and the Color Bloom sprays.
Thanks for dropping by and taking the time to see my work xx
Today I am sharing with you all a mixed media art journal cover I created using some amazing TCW products and Dusty Attic Chipboard pieces. My inspiration for this cover is from the Dusty Attic September Mood Board.
To start the background I applied TCW 9001 White Gesso using a dry paint brush. Then to blend the edges a little bit, I used a baby wipe. Once the gesso was dry (which doesn’t take long as it’s only a light coverage) I then used TCW202s Mini Harlequin stencil along with TCW9004 Light and Fluffy Modeling Paste using a silicone brush.
I then dried the modeling paste using my heat gun. Once that was dry I then used some 13arts Water based inks mixed with water in colours – Yellow, Scarlet and Bordeaux. Again used the heat gun to dry and then applied some stamping using black archival ink, Stampers Anonymous stamp and Darkroom Door texture stamp.
Next I lightly sprinkled some Lindy’s Stamp Gang Magical Shakers – Bavarian Blue and just lightly sprayed with water. I then coloured the cheesecloth with Colour Blast Shimmer Dust – Cobalt and Navy and some water. And now to assemble!!! As you can see I have cut the painted black doily chipboard in half, added the cheesecloth and some art stones. I adhered all my pieces using iCraft Mixed Media Adhesive
Last of all I adhered the Fleur de Lis chipboard along with the black title from Wordpl@y #3 black chipboard in the center.
Thank you for dropping by xx
