Altered Gift Box – 3Quarter Designs

Hi there everyone, another month means another new collection by 3Quarter Designs and this collection is called Miss Aeronaut.

Miss Aeronaunt

For this collection I decided to alter a gift box, the box I used is about 11 inches long x 8.5 inches wide and 3.5 inches high. I started by painting the box with black gesso. Then cut “Amelia Earnheart” patterned paper to size, inked the edges using Ground Espresso Archival Ink and adhered to the lid of the box.

I used Lindy’s Stamp Gang magicals set Totally 80’s to add the pink on the background and also on the chipboard pieces. I used “Pink Rock” mat sheets on the hot air balloon chipboard and adhered the chipboard over the top.

I used left over strips from “Amelia Earnheart” and “Jean Batten” pp to cover the sides of the box, inking the side before adhering.

I used the elements sheets to cut out the clockface, butterfly, vintage key and number panel. I stamped 4 circles and an extra butterfly onto some scrap pieces from ‘Jean Batten pp.

I used Lindy’s Stamp Gang Starburst spray “Steampunk Sepia” to splatter on the top and used Darkroom Doors Tick Tock stamp set for the sentiment.

Thanks for dropping in

The Bibliophile Collection – 3Quarter Designs

Hi there everyone, I hope you all are staying safe…… well it’s that time again for a new collection by 3Quarter Designs. I created 2 projects using this collection. The first being a layout and the second I altered a desk organiser.

The Bibliophile

Here is my layout of 2 of my beautiful boys apple picking last year. I used 2 designer sheets along with 2 of the photo mats, chipboard typewriter and title as well as the element sheet with the frames on. I used any left over scraps to make the banners and tags.

I used Colour Blast Embossing Powder – Leather for the title and used an assortment of washi tapes as my ribbon on the tag and on my background. I used crackle medium on my typewriter for an added texture element.

The stamps I used are by Darkroom Door – Coffee Stain and Tick Tock with Ground Espresso Archival Ink.

Here is my desk organiser- I have used one of the elements sheets, photo mat and designer sheets.
