Hi Everyone, today for my tutorial I am sharing a mini suitcase I altered for Snip Art.
There is a process video at the end of the blog if you would like to watch.
I started by cutting my background ornamental chipboard to size and applied Finnabair’s liquid acrylic paint in Burnt Seinna.
For the cogs, I heat embossed the cogs with WOW embossing powder Weathered Gold. I painted the first layer of the balloon with liquid acrylic paint in Burnt Seinna and then heat embossed the top layer with WOW embossing powder Crusty Copper.
I covered the title and compass with Faded Jeans Distress Oxide Ink. The feather arrow and frame stamp chipboard I covered with Old Paper Distress Oxide ink.
I used Finnabair’s Matte Wax in Rusty Red and Rusty Brown on the outside of the suitcase to age it.

Hello there my lovely crafting friends, today I am sharing my latest creations using 3Quarter Designs new collection – Modern Man.
I love love love this collection especially having 4 men big and small in my house. I originally wanted to create some masculine projects but thought I would think outside the box and create something a little different. So here is my art journal page and mixed media heart canvas.
For my art journal page I used the chipboard cogs and heat embossed with using Wow Embossing powder. For the background paper I used 4th sheet shown on the paper pack picture. I used some PaperArtsy stamps and Darkroom Door stamps on the background along with a paint pen to add some doodling around the edges of my page. For my title I the title strip from one of the papers and finished with some splatters.
The background paper I used on my heart is the top 3rd sheet shown in the paper pack picture above. I added some brick stenciling along with texture paste. I used impasto paint to cover my large cog chipboard along with the moulds. I also used the left overs from the paper I used on the background for the banners, inside the circle frame and the torn pieces behind the frame. I also used the chipboard pocket and covered it with some paper and made it look like a banner which is sitting behind the cog.
I also used some rust effect paste and art stones for the finishing touches.
I hope you like my projects and I will be back soon with more of my creations.
Hi there my creative lovelies, today I am sharing with you all my October Mood Board Challenge project for Dusty Attic. I loved doing this mood board and I used the colours as my inspiration.
Here is my altered notebook – The notebook I used is from Kmart here in Australia and I primed both the front and back cover with black gesso. I used the Brick Wall Stencil along with some Prima Texture Powder and gesso to create my own texture paste.
I trimmed a piece from Geometric Panel and adhered it to the center of my notebook. I then used an assortment of cogs from Mini Cogs #2, Cogs #1 and Cogs #3. For the corners I used the bolts from Nuts and Bolts set.
I then adhered the Prima Melange Pebbles to the journal and painted everything in black gesso. Once it was all dry, I then used Finnabair’s Metal Effect Texture Paste to build up my colour and texture. Then to finish it off I used Dare To Dream stamp set by Finnabair for my dragonfly and the word “journal”. I inked the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Archival Ink.

Hi there Everyone, today I am up on the Dusty Attic blog with my take on this month’s mood board challenge. Man how are amazing is this mood board? I love those earthy tones!
So for my inspiration I used the colours of the mood board. I also used the picture as well…. when I see this photo I think of how gorgeous the sunset is and what would be magical during a sunset? A hot air balloon ride!!! So here is what I created with all that in mind.
