Welcome my crafty peeps!!! Today I am sharing my latest project for Snip Art which is a mixed media hexagon canvas.

I covered the base of the canvas with  patterned paper and used liquid acrylics to ink it.

Altered Guitar – Snip Art

Hello there crafty peeps!!! Today I wanted to share my latest project for Snip Art. (click here to go to the blog for more details) I was given the task of hosting this month’s mood board which is pretty cool. So I created the below mood board with a project in mind.

6th - 31st June 2020

I have wanted to create something using Snip Art’s MDF guitar and finally I got to do it. The guitar is quite long so I made the tag from packing boxes.

I used several mixed media products including crackle medium, acrylic paint, rice paper and moulds to get the effect I finished with.

Reach For The Stars Art Journal Page

Hi there creative lovelies!!! Today I am up on the Snip Art blog with my art journal page I created using the Reach For The Stars collection.
There is a process video at the end of the blog if you would like to watch me in action.
I used a watercolour cardstock as my base and with a blending brush I used Distress Oxide Inks to create my galaxy. I also watered down some white paint to splatter some stars.
In the video you will see I originally heat embossed the stars but I felt the colours were too close to the background so I decided to leave them raw which is very new to me.

For the Planets, I used my aqua pen and Distress Oxide inks to add colour and I love how they turned out. For the title I used Finnabair’s Sparks paint and I also watered down the left overs and splattered onto the background to add some shimmer. To finish off the page, I added some paper dolls and used my Fineline Applicator to doodle around the edges.
Here is my video, I hope you enjoy it

Under The Sea Port Hole – Snip Art

Hello my lovelies, I hope you are all staying safe in this crazy time.
Today I am sharing with you all my newest creation for Snip Art. I have been wanting to create a project like this for a very long time and I am so happy with how it all turned out. The papers and molds are Stamperia’s Seaworld collection that my very dear friend Antonis Tzanidakis designed and of course the chipboard is Snip Art’s.
I used Deco Art’s fluid acrylic paints , Prima’s Impasto acrylic paints to create an aged look to the chipboard pieces. For the diver mould I used Finnabair’s Patina Texture Effect Paste.
For the Coral chipboard pieces, I wanted them to look more like seaweed so I used Archival Ink in greens and browns.

Life is a beach – Altered Anchor

Hello there my lovely crafty friends, today I am sharing my latest project for Snip Artwith you all. When I received my DT box 2 months ago I was super excited when I saw the MDF anchor and have been busting at the seams to create something with it……so here is my project.
For the base I used a Art Anthology Stone texture paste and Paper Artsy Fresco chalk acrylic paint to create a rusty effect. I added some fish netting and art stones as well.
I used the same paints to cover the seashell frame, rudder, title and compass with feather. The octopus I used archival ink in mermaid lagoon and vintage photo.
I inked around the edges of the anchor using Ground Espresso Archival ink and dry brushed the netting with white gesso.
